As blizzard-like conditions met holiday travel last weekend, Summit Fire & EMS responded to a call Saturday, Jan. 13, for a driver who ended up colliding with a semitractor-trailer on Interstate 70. Battalion Chief Lou Laurina said in a social media post that one of the occupants had to be extricated from the sedan in what turned out to be an hourlong operation.
